Sending money home
Compare UK & USA transfer options
Request quotes for the same total spending amount, payment method and delivery option. The best deal is the amount your family can actually use after fees and any withdrawal costs.
Owner-supplied snapshot: 22 October 2026. Rates, fees, delivery times and payout methods below have not been independently verified and are not live quotes. Promotional rates may differ from repeat-transfer rates. No provider is ranked or endorsed.
The uploaded examples use different fee and incentive assumptions, and some totals do not reconcile with the listed rate. They are preserved as supplied, not recalculated or treated as a like-for-like ranking. Open a provider’s official website for a current quote.
Payout options can differ from this snapshot: Wise’s official BDT guide also lists bKash and Nagad, not only bank deposits. Check the available option for your sending country in each provider’s quote.
Same budget. Clear comparison.
Which quote leaves your family with more?
Enter two current quotes. Your total budget includes the sender fee, so the amount converted is budget minus fee. Enter only confirmed recipient charges in taka. No government incentive is added.

An estimate only, not a transaction. The provider’s final recipient amount takes precedence. Sylhet.Online does not send money, collect payments or ask for your bank details.
Receiving money in Sylhet: the details that matter
Bank deposit: check the branch
Ask the receiver for the exact account name, number, bank and branch. A Sylhet city branch and an upazila branch are not interchangeable. Use a routing number only when the provider requests it; confirm it with the receiving bank rather than guessing.
Wallet balance is not cash
Before choosing bKash, Nagad or Rocket, check support in the current quote, the receiver’s verified wallet and its limits. If your family needs cash, deduct the actual cash-out charge; if they can pay directly from the wallet, their usable amount may differ.
Cash pickup: plan the journey
Check the exact agent location, opening hours, acceptable ID and payout availability before your relative travels from Beanibazar, Golapganj or elsewhere. Factor in transport costs, and keep transfer references private.
Time zones, Eid and urgent family payments
Bangladesh is UTC+6; UK and US clocks change seasonally. A late-evening transfer abroad can arrive outside the receiving branch’s hours, and bank holidays around Eid can delay deposits. For medicine, hospital bills or an urgent purchase, confirm the delivery estimate and the receiver’s access before sending.
Government incentive: confirm eligibility separately
Your attachment mentions a 2.5% incentive for qualifying remittances. Do not assume every personal transfer, provider or payout qualifies, or that the bonus arrives with the principal. Ask the provider and receiving bank or wallet about current eligibility, documentation, timing and whether their quote already includes it.
Repeat transfers versus welcome offers
A first-transfer rate or fee waiver may apply only up to a limit. Compare your normal repeat-transfer quote too, especially for monthly family support. “Zero fee” can still include a margin in the exchange rate.
Before confirming a transfer
Use official channels
Check the business and website address independently. For UK services, consult the FCA register and use the contact details it lists. Avoid informal hundi arrangements, unexpected social-media agents and requests to send to a stranger’s personal account.
Protect your family’s details
Never share a PIN, one-time code or wallet password with an agent or caller. Match the recipient name to their account or ID, and check the number with your relative through a known contact before submitting.
Keep the receipt and final quote
Save the confirmed fee, exchange rate, recipient amount, delivery estimate and reference. Check cancellation and complaint terms before paying. Card issuers may add charges, especially for credit cards; ask your issuer rather than assuming bank and card costs are identical.
General comparison information, not financial advice. Exchange rates change, service availability varies, and final charges and delivery are agreed with the provider. The supplied examples are dated, not a live exchange service.
