Sylhet.Online is an independent community guide to Sylhet, Bangladesh, run for the Sylheti community worldwide. You can reach the team through our Facebook page.
What we collect
- Account details. When you register to post an ad or join MySylhet, we store your name, email address and mobile number.
- Ads and posts. Whatever you submit to Marketplace, Property or MySylhet — text, photos and video links — is stored so it can be shown on the site.
- Newsletter. If you join the newsletter, we store your email address. No emails are sent yet; we will only use it to send Sylhet.Online updates once that begins.
What visitors can see
On public ads we show the poster's name only — personal phone numbers and email addresses are never displayed. Business and directory numbers are shown because they are published for customers. MySylhet posts, including their text and video links, can be read by everyone without signing in. Posts show the poster's name, never their account contact details. Do not include private contact details in your post.
Third-party services
Pages link to outside services such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Google News, Facebook, TikTok and map providers. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them. Maps on our pages load only when you tap to open them.
Your choices
You can delete your own MySylhet posts at any time. To correct or remove an ad, an account or a newsletter subscription, message us on our Facebook page.

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date of the latest version is shown below.
