SalamAir flies Muscat–Sylhet
Oman's SalamAir began direct Muscat–Sylhet services on 1 September 2026, the first foreign airline to run scheduled flights to Osmani International Airport in eight years. The carrier published three return flights a week — Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
1 October 2026
Minister asks Türkiye for direct Sylhet flights
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat asked a Turkish delegation to consider direct flights from Sylhet and Chattogram to Türkiye. This is a proposal, not an announced route — no airline has published tickets.

More foreign carriers expected at Osmani
The Business Standard reported that several other foreign carriers could begin services from Osmani International Airport by December, on the back of SalamAir's launch. Treat this as a report about intentions until an airline publishes a timetable.
